Thursday, November 3, 2005 - Frontier Society The Frontier Society web site should be up next week. The initial web site will only take a day to put together because it will start out small, but it will quickly grow after launch, with the video game section receiving most of the updates. The site has been designed to cover just about every cultural aspect, hobby, lifestyle, and subject imaginable, and it will be fully connected and integrated into the Independent Sites and TALON. While it is true that the Independent Sites were built on a design for Frontier Society, the web team has made some Frontier Society relevant tweaks to the format over the past four months, and the site will be similar to ours but different. It could be said that we were the test bed for Frontier Society. Some advances are clever ideas, like a web based message board that will connect to every article and section so visitors can leave comments and discuss the material. Modeling web site Tampa Bay Modeling is rumored to be borrowing this idea from the Frontier Society web site, too. The Independent Sites will not have this feature, and instead we will have a system where people can E-Mail their comments and we can add the good ones to the end of the articles and other content. This will change with our members upgrade next year and with all content in the PHP infused membership sections, which will come with portfolio networking features and an advanced message board system.
