Thursday, November 3, 2005 - Job Board and TALON The Independent Modeling job board, Independent Acting audition board, and the Independent Performer audition board will have even more in common with TALON. All the boards will lift ideas and the general format off of TALON, and TALON will be used as a back end for the boards. In other news, we finalized the TALON format last night, and it's now ready for final coding and upload. TALON is the key to making the Independent Sites active and updated. Just wait until you see how slick and intuitive TALON has turned out to be. We just like to sit back and look at it, to be honest, but the looks are much more than skin (screen.. heh heh) deep. It was worth the wait. TALON will have dual listings on every menu page; SPOTLIGHT LISTINGS and GENERAL LISTINGS. SPOTLIGHT LISTINGS will be for advertisers and featured members. GENERAL LISTINGS will include every legitimate professional that the TALON system can find. Anyone with a spotlight listing will also be listed in the general listings, meaning they will be listed twice. Additionally, advertisers and featured members also get image banners which enhance their listings and are designed to draw the eye. The normal general listing entry will only have a generic banner placeholder with the option to upgrade. The job boards, like TALON, will include dual listings on the menu (yes, the boards will be a menu leading to the actual job information, which in turn leads to TALON for the job contact). The job boards will have FEATURED JOBS, which hang out on the top, and general listings. To get a featured job, you have to be an advertiser or a featured member. We will also boost jobs that we feel are important to featured status. Like TALON, the posts will be duplicated if it is a featured job. Another new addition to the job boards will be an ANNOUNCEMENT SECTION, where non-paying projects, professional collaborations, and normal announcements can be posted. This will be connected to the job boards and may also be connected from the menu system as a stand-alone section.. All three job boards will follow a carefully calibrated launch and we have a comprehensive plan to initiate explosive growth and expansion. We have over a year of preparation work behind this, and it will show when it works and we exceed our goals. By Spring, our job boards will be the job boards of choice, and regarding Independent Modeling's job boards, we'll have a lot more to look at than simple model promotional jobs (give us time, though- this should be by Spring 2006). We have a plan to inspire some of the best modeling work listed ever, and we are sure that modeling agency bookers will not like it when the jobs that they are trying to book models into turn up here. We are very serious about our job boards and the quality of job listings, and we are going to demonstrate this every day once the boards are active. Check back later for more. There is no arguing against common-sense and proven business practices.
