About Our Modeling Job Board
A Warning About Modeling Job Scams
This job board is for modeling job offers and go-see information only. Job offers for other professions will be routed to the appropriate job board on our affiliate sites; posters will be notified concerning which board that the job offer was posted on.
This is the 2009
edition of the Independent Modeling Modeling Job Board for model go-see
information. Unlike the last version, we are not restrictive about the
requirements for posting model jobs as long as it is for a legitimate
modeling job. Send us an E-Mail Describing the job, go-see dates, the
actual job date, and pay, and we will post it here. If you would like
suggestions on how to post model job listings that will get good responses
from model with the look that you need, check out our POSTING
TIPS. The job board is offered free of charge, and there
is no charge to post job offers on the board or to respond to those offers.
Those who are not offering a job, but are selling a service or looking
for a service are more than welcome to post in our Classified
Section, although there is a charge to post on the classifieds;
those trying to sell services or products under the guise of a job post
will be banned and their post will be deleted, as this is considered to
be a misleading and deceptive trade practice, and it is fraud.
Models, do you want to be considered for these jobs? We recommend that
models prepare adequately before responding to any of these job posts,
and that they have composite cards, a resume, and a cover letter that
does not read like a form letter. If you send off a picture with just
your name and no other information, this isn't going to work for you.
You won't get considered. Remember that you are competing with other models
for consideration! You will only get out of something what you put into
it! If you take care of your modeling career and don't neglect some simple
details, it will work out for you. If you are serious about landing these
jobs and want to be treated as a professional, please read our MODEL
TIPS. If you do not have a professional modeling portfolio
or modeling composite cards, Independent Modeling now offers these services
in our Modeling
Portfolio Photography Services section. You are not obligated to book
any services from us to use our modeling job board resource or to use
the Independent Modeling web site. You will, however, require a professional
modeling portfolio and modeling composite cards to book any legitimate
modeling job. If you do not obtain these professional modeling tools from
us, please seek out and book the services of a professional modeling portfolio
photographer to obtain these tools. Look at their portfolio, and make
sure that they have a long history of providing quality, effective modeling
portfolios for professional models. DO NOT go to any modeling and talent
agency seeking referrals to modeling portfolio photographers. Due to the
potential for a conflict of interest and the modeling agency illegally
and unethically making money from those referrals, never trust agency
referrals to any photographer. Search the Internet and find a modeling
portfolio photographer who has invested in a professional web site (Myspace
profiles and modeling portfolio networking site profiles do not count
as professional photography web site because they can be set up quickly,
and do not require any career investment), and who demonstrated a solid
portfolio of modeling portfolio photography work.
