Thursday, March 2, 2006 - Model Rates Increase

In a move that is sure to raise some eyebrows and annoy more than a few models who are not in the loop, site director C. A. Passinault increased the rates for featured model profiles on Independent Modeling from a suggested rate of $80.00 per year to $200.00 per year. Passinault stated that the increased rates would keep TALON free for models who want to list on there as well as keep the featured profiles limited to serious professional models. Passinault indicated that serious research had gone into the new rates, that there were serious business reasons behind the move, and Independent Modeling would become a major promotional platform for professional models with an exclusive deal with several top photography companies and an increased use of contact screening features. Passinault confirmed that general listings in the TALON database would remain free, and that there was a possibility that special offers and discounts may be offered on the featured model profiles from time to time (rumors of a massive featured model profile promotion in April remain unconfirmed).
