Sex For Print, or SFP INDEPENDENT MODELING Changing the business of modeling This is TFP, or
Time For Print, which is an exchange
of services between a photographer and a model, gone horribly wrong, where
the photographer accepts sex or sexual favors in return for photography
for the model’s portfolio. This is wrong on many different levels.
First of all, it is highly unethical and unprofessional. No professional
photographer or model would do this. Additionally, any photographer or
model who does this is an idiot, and does not know anything about business;
they not only compromise their integrity, but they sell themselves short.
Let’s say that a photographer offers shoots for $400.00, and then
allows a model to give them a night together instead. If a model really
wants to shoot with a photographer, they will find a way to come up with
the money. So, the photographer who undercuts his own business by allowing
models to barter sex for pictures is pretty much throwing away money.
Besides that, is ANY model worth paying what you would charge for a shoot
with sex? Any photographer with half of a brain (and we are not condoning
this) would instead pony up the cash and pay a professional call girl,
because the call girl would at least be working within their profession,
and would know what they are doing (and hiring a call girl is illegal.
Don’t do it. We are strictly using this example to illustrate the
stupidity of bartering sex for marketable work). See also Sex For CD. 11/02/12 - 11/21/12
