Independent Modeling is a resource site for independent and agency-represented models who wish to enhance the marketability of their modeling careers, as well as have an advantage over limited models; those limited models being agency-only models who do not think for themselves, do not invest in their career, and allow modeling agencies to manage them, and to tell them what to do. Other limited models include models who try to put together competent professional modeling portfolios for free, using TFP, and who try to compete against professional models with cheap career tools. The independent models who use Independent Modeling are smart, professional models who know enough that to have an advantage over other models, that they have to invest in their careers. Independent Modeling is NOT a modeling and talent agency, and we do not claim to be. We do not directly refer models into modeling jobs for financial compensation, and do not represent models. Independent Modeling is not intended to be used for any advice, which includes legal advice, and any advice which can only be legally given by a licensed professional in a regulated profession. Tuesday, July 19, 2005 - Upload Progress

A lot of progress has been made in the last few days, but most of it is not apparent due to the builds being uploaded in support areas of the independent sites. The job boards? Still coming sometime this week. The delay? We need to get TALON up before then, since the job boards tie into the database. So do the featured model and talent sections. Everything seems to link to TALON in some way, and it is so vital that it will be finished and online before Independent Performer. We're not going to do all that work and then have to go back later to fix links and other things; We'll take our time and do it right. We've done a lot of work on TALON, but are tweaking final alterations on the design and layout (See our TALON FAQ, which is just now online, for hints of what is to come and how it works). Independent Modeling, Independent Acting, Independent Performer, TALON, and Frontier Society are still on schedule to be up to spec by the end of this month, with heavy promotion of the sites and daily updates of the job boards due in August 2005. The sites should be at full strength by September, with advanced work beyond anything we have ever done this Fall. We have tons of great ideas, and most of those ideas are fleshed-out concepts that have been time-proven in experiments and are very well thought out. We have so many new things in the works, as a matter of fact, that it will take us until 2008 to do them all, and by then, we'll have even more!
