I am a professional working model and I was recently scammed. I was not working with an agency, so I only have myself to blame for falling for it. Is there any way for models to identify and avoid becoming scam victims?

Sorry to hear about your misfortune, Allison. Fortunately, what happened to you is not common in this industry, and can be avoided if models educate themselves, use common sense, clarify and verify. Clarify and verify? Clarify the intentions and terms before working with someone and verify all of their references.
