The following are guidelines and may not apply to certain situations. We reserve the right to override references on file and adjust ratings, although most ratings follow these guidelines. Rating are opinions by industry professionals, and are not intended to reflect badly on the listed contact.

General Listing - No Stars. Industry Contender and recognized industry professional. Lack of recommendation merely indicates that we have no information on file that would consider a recommendation, and does not mean that the listed professional cannot be recommended or does not have good references.

Recommended - One Star. Good ranking. At least two good references on file from unrelated sources. Good references are generally from listed sources with no recommendation or greater on file.

Recommended - Two Stars. Great ranking. At least one great references and five good references on file from unrelated sources. At least one source needs to be listed in the database with a minimum of a one star recommendation, which would make the reference a great one.

Recommended - Three Stars. Excellent ranking. At least two excellent references and ten good references on file from unrelated sources. If we do not know you directly, a rating over three stars may not happen. At least two sources need to be listed in the database with a minimum of a two star recommendation, which would make each reference an excellent one.

Recommended - Four Stars. Outstanding ranking. At least three outstanding references and twenty good references on file from unrelated sources and recommended by the talent and production professionals that advise us. At least three sources need to be listed in the database with a minimum of a three star recommendation, which would make each reference an outstanding one.

Recommended - Five Stars. Highest recommendation, regard, and respect in the industry. At least five top references and twenty good references on file from unrelated sources and recommended by the talent and production professionals that advise us. At least three sources need to be listed in the database with a minimum of a four star recommendation, which would make each reference a top one.

Ratings are opinions by industry professionals. Total opinions of a wide range of different professionals rate in for a total score, including information from the Professional Model Bureau PMB Database maintained by Independent Modeling. To increase a rating, recommendations from parties listed in our TALON database are considered. If a party sends in a recommendation and they are not listed, we will consider listing them. The higher the rating index is for the party that is submitting a recommendation, the more their vote weighs in.
Our TALON system also adjusts ratings from information obtained from message boards, E-Mails, and web logs (blogs).
Independent Performer owns and maintains the TALON database, leasing individual categories out to Independent Modeling and Independent Acting when categories are relevant.
Ratings range from one to five stars.
Independent Performer is not responsible for the actions of the parties listed in our TALON database. Independent Performer reserves the right to add, remove, and amend listings at our discretion, with no bias indicated. Database is maintained by information obtained from public sources and private submissions. A listing in the TALON database does not imply an association with this web site with the party listed, and the party may not necessarily share the views and opinions shared on our web sites.

These definitions are guidelines and are by no means set in stone. Final recommendation ratings are up to the discretion of Independent Performer. Information obtained with our TALON program from E-mails, message boards, and web logs (blogs) is used to adjust ratings.

Sources listed in separate categories count as one source in the recommendation process. If we know you and our people recommend you, your score may increase.
References submitted are only recognized with the permission given of being added to the TALON database if they are not already listed.
The TALON industry database is not intended to be a substitute for checking references. Anyone using this resource is responsible for the consequences, and Independent Performer and affiliated sites are waived of any potential liability.
