Q. What is a spotlight listing? Why are the contacts listed there listed twice in the section, and why is it at the top? Why do those people have customized keys instead of the "add image" keys leading all the other contacts?
A. Spotlight listings are bonuses for advertisers and featured members. Advertisers advertise on our sites, with either banners on our pages and sponsorships or a posting in the classifieds. A featured member is someone who has a featured talent or production professional profile on one or more of the Independent Sites, and featured profile holders get advertiser status. Those "keys" that you mention are called IMAGE BANNERS, and every advertiser and featured member gets them free of charge or is allowed access to the tools to make their own. Those image banners are designed to catch the eye and make the listing stand out over the others.
As you observed, spotlight listings also get listed twice, and all of them list in the general listing on that menu, too. It pays to advertise on the Independent Sites or to keep a featured talent profile here, simply because it enhances your TALON listings.
