Q. Aren't you afraid of being sued for libel or discrimination?

A. No, although we won't put it past people to try. We are ready for legal challenges. We will be sure to carefully document the facts in order to protect our position. If someone wants to be deleted from the database, we will honor their request. Keep in mind, however, that if we find their reason unacceptable then we will take that as a refusal to work with us now and in the future. They must be able to give us a good reason as to why they need to be removed, or they may find themselves banned for good. One day, when their competition is on the site, they are not, and they can't get on or any profile that they set up gets deleted, they will just have to understand that we are honoring their original wishes.
Before people get mad and start flying off the handle, we can only hope that they are mature and professional enough to realize that accountability is credibility. If people try to fight being accountable for what they do, it hurts the independent talent movement and keeps the old industry model alive longer. One thing keeping model and talent agencies in business is that the models and talent that they represent have to answer to them if they burn a booking. We are working hard to take that advantage away, and will gladly fight to make the independent talent movement more credible in the eyes of those who are used to working with agencies. Makes sense, doesn't it?
Oh, and don't forget- All advertisers, featured talent, and members agree to participate with the terms of the TALON database and accept their TALON rating. It's part of their service agreement. If they insist on being removed from the database, they will lose their other accounts, too- with no refunds on what they have paid. Forfeiture is also in their agreement. We don't expect any issues to arise, but are more than prepared to deal with them if they do.
